SOPHIE PARR
CONTEMPORARY LANDSCAPE PAINTER
My work is inspired by the landscape; I use it to trigger ideas, forms and structures. My paintings are not direct representations but an attempt to represent the feeling of being there; the movement, the elements, the textures and colours.

There is a pond I visit everyday on my dog walking route, I have been exploring how to represent the 'essence' of the place and how the seasons, weather and light impacts it. More details about the exhibition to come.
