ART WORKSHOP
Working with Watercolours or Acrylics
A 7 week course to start with, with the potential to be a weekly activity through the year. I will help you develop your skills and produce a range of work from a starting point. I will show you some of the methods and processes that I use.
We will work with acrylic or watercolours paints (although if you have oil paints and would like to use those that is fineI). I will work with you to explore, experiment and develop a range of skills and techniques in order to produce your own work.
It will be a loosely structured course which I will adapt to your needs and creative desires as we go.
Course Outline
Week 1
Develop drawing and mark making skills.
Responding to landscape imagery with mark making, sketchbook work.
Week2
Drawing from landscape imagery .
Sketchbook work. Working with different grounds.
Charcoal drawing (charcoal and paper provided)
Week 3
Working with Acrylics - colour mixing with ink.
Week 4
Markmaking, layering with watercolours or acrylics
Week 5, 6 & 7
Observational colour studies responding to imagery of choice in sketchbook
Start a larger more sustained painting
DETAILS
COST: £20 per session or block book 7 sessions for £18 per session excl. materials unless otherwise stated
+£5 per session to include materials. (drawing materials, acrylics/brushes Not Canvas)
